MIFGS 2014

Happiness Grows – Bronze Medal

Gardens make a happier home

Just being around plants and gardens reduces stress and improves vitality. Studies have shown that people who spend more time around nature have a more positive outlook and better mental health. Concentration and memory are improved by the calming influence of nature, and people with flowers and plants around the home feel happier and more relaxed as a result.

This philosophy underpinned our MIFGS 2014 design and was executed using 8,000 plants and a very hard working team. We used fruit, herbs, vegies, chooks, blooming plants, shade trees, shrubs and street art to create a happy and healthy approach to home and community.
